At the beginning of April we went to a park in Rudy to look for traces of beavers in the neighbourhood. We were preparing a presentation about species in danger that can be found in our region and having found many traces of bats in abandoned houses, we decided to look for others. We heard that there were many beavers in the city nearby, so we went to check it. We started  walking around and we managed to see many trees that were marked by beavers. Unfortunately, we coud not spot any of the animals face to face, but we were sure they were watching us from their burrows.

In May our school is organising a Cyclist Day in our city. We want to involve all students from our school in this event, so they could see that the fight with greenhouse effect is not only our duty, but it can also bring a lot of pleasure and fun. Recently, our voivodeship has been affected by floods. The level of water in many rivers has risen dangerously, which led to destruction of many houses in the area.

We want to promote the Cyclist Day in our city to raise people's awareness of the conse-quences we need to face when using cars, buses, etc.

Another very interesting action that takes place in our city is building rafts using plastic bottles. It is a very important and exciting action, as our students are able to see how many things can be done with ordinary plastic bottles. They do not throw them away, just collect them and then in June, they build the biggest raft they can with it. Then the school takes part in a special competition on the lake in Rybnik, where all rafts made from recycled materials are shown.
