Technical School number 1 in Rybnik has over 60 years of tradition. Our professional and experienced staff guarantees high level of education, which is proved in maturity and technical exams every year .

Rich tradition is developed by the’ Friends and Pupils Society’, whose members integrate graduates and support educational aspects of school.

School year in Technical School number 1 is full of cultural, local and sports celebrations. Every year there many events in our school, such as  Local Education School Week, the Earth Day, School Day, Nativity play, and many more. Students take part in many competitions, school excursions and winter camp.

Laureates of extramural contests are rewarded with a special ‘Primus Inter Pares’ badge.

School also organizes science sessions and conferences.

In our school museum you can see interesting exhibits representing Silesian culture and the history of school, city and region.

There are 40 classrooms in our school. All of them equipped with audiovisual devices and educational aids. Apart from computer labs there are computers with Internet access in other classrooms. Our workshops consist of traditional vocational aids and multimedia devices. There are workshops used by many specialties, f.eg. mechatronics, electricians, miners, car professionals and profession advisors.

Physical education classes take place in our school gym, fitness studio, at the pool or on one of our outer playgrounds.  If you are looking for an interesting book to read, you are welcome to visit our school library, where you can also access the Internet.

There are profession advisory classes led by our school psychologist ,who tries to help with the choice of future career. 

We also use many educational innovations, including mobile educational platform. Our students can also choose one of  additional languages to study- (English, German, French or Russian).There is school canteen serving cheap and tasty meals. Our students’ parents have access to internet register ‘Librus’.

Our students are active members of Student Council and they are responsible for the organization of varied school events and representation among other schools in Silesia. They also take part in many vocational competitions and contests, with  very satisfactory results.  Students can develop their interests during extracurricular activities, including sports, computer, art, journalist and drama classes. We have also been cooperating with other schools abroad.

Technical School number 1 cooperates with local companies and organizations. The result of such cooperation are job warranties and agreements for our graduates.  For this success our school has been awarded with ‘Black Diamond’ , a very prestigious prize for the best business of the region.

What is more, during our 60-year anniversary, we received ’Gold Honorary Badge for Merits in Silesia’.

Technical School in Rybnik is one of the biggest schools in Silesia. It was founded in 1950. It is located in the centre of Rybnik. School has many years of experience of teaching general and vocational subjects, fulfilling the needs of employment in the region.  Vocational profiles, such as mechatronics, minery, Information technology and logistics, play essential role in school development.

We look after our students’ education, so they could gain all the essential knowledge, pass maturity exam and get technical degree.
